Product Care

TIMBER FURNITURE
This product has been finished with timber stains and coated with protective finish.

We recommend regular dusting and wipe over with a “clean” damp cloth. Avoid silicon based polishes.

Timber is a natural product; therefore exposure to excessive heat or moisture  and such as drinks, alcohol, perfume, deodorant and insect sprays etc will cause damage.

Keep furniture out of direct sunlight and do not place over central heating ducts.
When moving furniture DO NOT drag but instead lift completely off the floor and carry and place in position - especially large items such as dressers, tall boys and beds.

Timber - being a natural product may vary slightly in colour from piece to piece and also over the cabinet or bed due to variations in grain structure and density.

METAL FURNITURE

UPHOLSTERED LEATHER FURNITURE
To avoid excessive fading do not expose to direct sunlight. Do not place over heating ducts and at least 1metre from a heat source.

When moving furniture DO NOT drag but instead lift completely off the floor, carry and place in position.

Periodically dust your leather product using a clean, dry and non-abrasive white cloth.
After the leather is clean and dry, it should be moisturized with a quality leather conditioning cream, to replenish any oils that were lost over time or removed during the cleaning process.

Remove spills rapidly from the surface, by dabbing with absorbent cloth or paper towel. Do not allow the leather to become wet. Allow leather to naturally dry.

CONDITIONING LEATHER
After the leather is clean and dry, it should be moisturised to replenish any oils that were lost over time with a quality leather conditioning cream. Apply the Leather conditioner following instructions printed on the bottle. Spread a thin coating of the conditioning product over the leather.

Use a clean, lint free dry cloth when applying the conditioning product. Do not use the same cloth that was just used for cleaning. The leather should be allowed to dry naturally, buff to a dull luster.

FABRIC REGULAR CARE
Vacuum regularly with an upholstery attachment, using low suction. Protect from direct sunlight.

FABRIC SPOT CLEANING
Use a fabric cleaner and follow instructions printed on the bottle. Gently remove any loose soilage and/or mop any excess liquid. Avoid over-wetting as this may result in a water mark.

Blot the treated area dry, then with a hair dryer, working out from the center of the treated area, dry quickly to prevent rings forming.
Stubborn stains may require a second and third application. Allow the area to dry between attempts.

OIL AND WATER BASED STAINS
Gently remove any loose soilage and/or mop any excess liquid. Use Cleaner according to the manufacturer’s directions. Pre-test the cleaning method on a hidden area of the furniture. Do not continue if there is an adverse reaction such as colour transfer.
Avoid rubbing as this may cause the stain to spread. Rubbing may also cause fibre damage.

Where possible, it is preferable to clean an entire panel of your furniture rather than undertaking spot cleaning. If spot cleaning has to be undertaken, follow the instructions provided.

MIRROR AND GLASS FURNITURE

Use a good quality glass cleaner with a clean micro fibre cloth. Ensure no swarf is on the cloth or this may scratch the surface.

Spray cleaner onto the cloth and never directly onto the product.

On all mirror and glass furniture care MUST be taken to not overtighten the handles. Overtightening the handles can lead to the mirror or glass cracking. This is not covered under our warranty.
